PROJECT NAILHEAD Chronicles the rebuild of a 1954 Buick Roadmaster 322 nailhead engine as a future replacement for Deerslayer's Jimmy 302.

When I purchased Deerslayer from Tony and Joy Pascarella, I had so much fun with the truck that I made it my daily driver. In the seven plus years since then, more than seventy thousand miles have passed under the wheels. I'll probably live long enuf to wear out the Jimmy 302 engine. Knowing how slow I am with my projects, I decided to find and start rebuilding a replacement engine so it will be ready when Deerslayer needs it. This log will be the story of that engine build.
