I think we are thru with most of the storm activity and can look forward to hot, humid weather for a couple of days. The continental breakfast here in Ruston, LA was minimal but enuf to sustain me.

Day 13 PRE Check

Checked all BillyBob's fluids and the tires again. I didn't realize it at first but when checking the pumpkin oil, I wuz laying on a pissant colony. Took a few minutes to get those buggers off my back. I had a few drips of something on the inside faces of the rear tires, radiating out from the centers. Brake fluid level hasn't changed the entire trip so I suspect the rear bearing seals since I accidentally overfilled the diffie yesterday a bit. Also cleaned mud off the taillight lenses. Morning starts for BillyBob take several tries but he runs fine after he's warmed up.

Click to display large 356Kb image in separate windowWhen we crossed the Mississippi River, at Vicksburg, the river appeared a bit wider than the crossing at Memphis last week. Traffic was not too bad here. It's a good thing, too. Today is hot and BillyBob does not like being pushed when he's hot. The temp gauge is quick to respond to a heavy throttle. He even spewed a small amount of coolant at one of the fuel stops.
