Click to display large 389Kb image in separate windowI let "Mother" guide us today and kept track of the routes she chose. Started out on local roads to SC 701 S to US 378. I made a wrong turn at one point which caused Mother to calculate a new course and punish me by adding 45 minutes to my estimated arrival time in Port Wentworth.

Click to display large 327Kb image in separate windowThen we went SC 41 to US 17 Alt to US 78 W to US 178. Most of this was on pleasant two-lane blacktop roads. Then, we did a stretch on I-95 to Charleston Hwy to Savannah Hwy to SC Hwy 3 to Columbian Hwy. to the Cilo Road.

Click to display large 441Kb image in separate windowThe Cilo Road turned into the Cylo Road once we crossed the state line into Georgia. and led to the town of the same name. Then we hit GA 21 which led us to Port Wentworth, north of Savannah. We had also crossed the 4,000 mile threshold shortly before reaching Port Wentworth.
