9. End of the Line

February 6^th 2019  Renegade has been sitting forlornly in the BillyBob Shop parking lot for more than two years now, awaiting his turn for repair. In the meantime, I lost my ambition and wasn't working on any of the rides. In September my landlord sold the complex to a corporate entity and the "improvements" have been coming, hot and heavy. First, the building was repainted. Then, we were re-roofed by the "Rough and Tumble Roofing Company" and I don't think any of my fellow tenants escaped damages from that one. Then, I had to get new fire extinguishers to satisfy the landlord's insurance company. I don't mind that. In the middle of all this, and continuing, as I write, the County has the street torn up for new sewers. Yesterday morning, the landlord e-mailed me that the parking lot will be re-paved Thursday and Friday and all vehicles must be out of the lot or be towed.

  I got no room in the shop for Renegade. My procrastination has bitten me in the ass this time around. I messaged Gato to see if he still wanted the Jeep. He did and I sold it to him for a good friend price. He came for it with a tow truck after work. By Friday morning, Renegade's old spot looked like this. I'll miss Renegade. He was the only new car I purchased before Elvira. On my Mom's last visit here, before she got sick, We went to the Sea Watch restaurant on A-1-A in Renegade. It was early evening and afterwards, I took the top down and we cruised Fort Lauderdale Beach.
