Problem: I would like to share a fax/modem to send faxes through the network. I share the fax, but when I send the fax from the network, it just stays in the spooler of the PC with the fax/modem. Comments: Thanks for your help....

Date: 06.01.1997Hi aret, I'm not sure, but my research at this point leads me to believe you can't do what you're trying to accomplish without additional third-party software. That is, you can't do it with Windows 95 alone which is what I assume you're trying to do since you didn't say what software you're currently using. Examples of this type of software product are: FAXmaker for Networks http://www.gfifax.com/ RedRock FaxNow! http://www.redrock.co.uk/product/PRODUCT.HTM ModemShare http://www.artisoft.com/communications.html I can not recommend the above products as I have not used them. They are offered here as a starting point for your own research. I do not have experience with fax server software yet, but expect to in the near future. I have a situation where several Windows 95 machines must access the Internet and e-mail using one fax/modem. Thus far, I have set up Wingate Proxy Server/Firewall software on the Windows 95 machine with the fax/modem and everybody can browse the Internet through it. I will be adding e-mail services software next and faxing services software after that. WinGate http://www.wingate.com/ Let me know how things work out. I Remain, L. R.
